Trespass is not a very high-quality ski company. This brand makes a variety of outdoor equipment that is typically very budget-friendly, though. So even though it may be of lesser quality, you can save some money by choosing to use it.
I’m Christine, the founder of this blog and a lifelong skier. I live for the winter and get out in the snow as often as possible. I’ve done some research and spoken with a few people who have used Trespass gear to come up with the information here.
This post will look at Trespass as a ski brand. I’ll tell you why I think it’s a mediocre to below-average brand and also provide some information to help you make an informed purchasing decision.
Let’s dive in.
- Trespass is a lesser-known outdoor equipment brand that also makes ski equipment and apparel. The brand doesn’t make skis or boots but does have jackets, pants, goggles, and accessories.
- The best thing about Trespass is that it’s a budget-friendly brand. It’s not known for providing excellent options for skiers, but the prices are nice despite being a bit lower quality.
- If you are looking for top-of-the-line ski gear, you shouldn’t choose Trespass. But if you just want something affordable, it’s worth exploring.
Is Trespass a Good Ski Brand?
Trespass is not well-known for being a good ski brand. And the company doesn’t technically specialize in ski gear or equipment. It’s more of a general outdoor retailer than a ski-specific brand, though it still offers a number of skiing-related options.
You can think of Trespass as more of an off-brand than anything else. You won’t see many skiers wearing this brand, especially if they are experienced and know what to look for in high-quality options.
Trespass has an extensive outdoor equipment and apparel lineup, including ski gear. The company doesn’t make skis or boots, but they offer ski jackets, ski pants, goggles, hats, helmets, and other accessories.
I don’t think Trespass is a terrible brand for skiers, but it is not a top choice I would recommend. The gear that the company offers is less quality than most of the other brands, so it’s difficult to justify supporting Trespass.
The one positive aspect of Trespass is that it offers budget-friendly equipment. If you don’t want to break the bank and don’t mind making a few sacrifices with quality and durability, this might be a brand to look into.
I’m a big believer that quality is an extremely important aspect of your ski equipment. You don’t want to risk getting cold or wet while skiing because that will negatively affect your ability to stay on the mountain for long periods.
And if you love to ski, you want to be on the mountain as much as possible. If you choose sub-par equipment, it’s not going to give you the reliability you can depend on relating to if it will hold up well under steady use.
Are Trespass Shoes Good?
As I mentioned earlier, Trespass also makes a number of items focused on the outdoor market, not just for skiing. This includes shoes, jackets, and a lot of other assorted footwear.
Trespass shoes seem to be of a similar quality to their ski gear – it’s ok, but it’s not extremely high-quality. Again the main advantage here is a lower price, which makes Trespass shoes and footwear a good option if you are on a budget.
Regular footwear doesn’t always need to hold up as well as ski gear, so I think that Trespass shoes are probably a bit better than the ski apparel that the brand has. Plus, the company has a really wide selection of options, which is always nice.
Trespass vs North Face
If you want to compare Trespass to North Face, it isn’t much of a competition. Trespass simply doesn’t hold up that well compared to North Face. This is true when you compare quality, performance, and durability.
North Face is a much better brand for serious skiers and outdoor enthusiasts if you want gear you can rely on to deliver exceptional performance in demanding outdoor situations. And North Face has a better reputation overall as well.
The only advantage that Trespass has over North Face is a lower price. North Face gear and equipment are typically really expensive, while Trespass tends to keep its prices lower. So Trespass is the budget choice here for sure.
Both brands have a lot of options when it comes to the selection of gear and equipment they offer. They both have ski jackets and pants and some other ski-related items. But they also both have a ton of various outdoor equipment.
Trespass is not that good of a ski brand. It’s more of a budget outdoor retailer that keeps its prices down to increase sales. I don’t recommend using Trespass ski pants or jackets if you are looking for true high-performance options on the mountain.
But Trespass is very affordable, so the brand is worth looking into if you want to save some money. You won’t get a super reliable item here, but sometimes you just need a jacket that doesn’t cost a lot.
