Is Rossignol a Good Ski Brand?

Rossignol is one of the top ski brands in the industry and has a long-standing reputation for manufacturing excellent skis and other equipment related to the sport. The brand has been around for decades and continues to deliver fantastic skiing products.

I’m Christine, and I founded this blog to give skiers a trusted source to find all sorts of information related to the sport. I’ve used many different types and brands of equipment over the years and have first-hand experience with Rossignol skis and apparel.

This post will examine Rossignol, and I’ll tell you why it’s one of the best ski brands in the industry. I’ll give you a bit of background on the brand and provide other important information to help you decide if you want to purchase Rossignol skis, apparel, or equipment.

Let’s jump in.

Key Takeaways

  • Rossignol is one of the top ski brands in the industry, and this has been true for decades. The brand makes skis, boots, apparel, and many other items related to skiing.
  • Being such a trusted brand name has enabled Rossignol to keep its prices relatively affordable, which is another reason it has remained a good brand to choose over the years.
  • Rossignol makes excellent skis, but it also delivers high-quality apparel and other equipment designed for skiing. And being a larger brand, it also has many options to choose from.

Is Rossignol a Good Ski Brand?

Rossignol is one of the top ski brands in the industry, and this has been true for years. The brand has been around for over 100 years, and that long-standing reputation and recognition make it extremely popular with all types of skiers.

If you spend any time in the mountains, you will see Rossignol skis and other equipment on the slopes. This is one of the most popular brands on the mountain, with many different models of skis and other equipment in use.

Since Rossignol is a larger brand, it has the luxury of having a really diverse lineup of skis and other apparel. This means that you can find just about any type of ski or gear item that you are looking for within the Rossignol brand name.

I think that Rossignol skis are some of the best options out there when you factor in both quality and value. I’ve used numerous models of the brand’s skis over the years (more on that in the section below) and have always been pleased.

Its equipment not only delivers in terms of performance, but it’s also pretty affordable. This is another advantage of being a larger brand – Rossignol can keep prices lower and still make a lot of profit because it has such a broad reach.

Rossignol Skis

Rossignol offers a wide range of skis for men, women, and children. The brand has nearly every style and size of ski you could want, ranging from small kids’ skis to large powder monsters for men and women.

The Experience is one of the brand’s all-mountain skis that is well worth exploring. This model can handle a little bit of everything on the mountain and is a good choice for beginner to advanced skiers who like to explore.

The Rallybird is a women-specific ski from the brand that I really like. It’s a freeride design with a lot of float while maintaining plenty of response when you aren’t in deep snow. These skis rip and are an excellent option for experienced female skiers.

Rossignol Ski Jackets

Even though Rossignol does have many ski jackets and other apparel, I think the brand’s skis are much better than their jackets. I just like using a few other brands that deliver higher quality and more durable options.

That’s not to say that Rossignol ski jackets are bad. I just don’t think they are the best. Being a more prominent brand does come with a downside, and much of Rossignol’s apparel isn’t always of the highest quality.

I think Rossignol makes excellent skis and boots, but its other winter clothing and ski apparel don’t quite stack up. This is my experience with the brand, and I just wanted to share it with others to help you make an informed purchase.

My son-in-law is moving and left his Rossignol skis for me to sell. They are 177 length with Marker bindings. They are mostly royal blue color with DualTec, Central, and Dual Vas names on them. I looked all through eBay yesterday but didn’t see any similar skis. Do you have any idea what they would sell for? I know they were not used very often. The edges need sharpening and polishing. I will likely put them on Craigslist and eBay and don’t want to sell them too cheaply. Thanks!

      Hi Dave,

I’m not familiar with the exact model skis your son left you with. How old do you think they are? I would guess that you might be able to get $100-200 if they are in good shape and have bindings. But some people might not want to have used bindings, which could affect the price. You can always start on the higher end of how much you list them for and then drop a little lower if people try to negotiate. Hope that helps!
